MAGIC OF ONE IS RE-GROUPING THIS YEAR Only One Magic of One Concert this season! We are also pleased to announce that Kira Van Deusen, from Vancouver, will return for a one woman concert in February, 26th, 2010, when she will be telling the Inuit Epic tale of Kiviuq. An accomplished  musician as well as storyteller, Kira will be accompanying herself on cello.

As you might know, a group of us in the local storytelling community are working hard at bringing to life the Manitoba Storytelling Guild. Eventually this will become the “umbrella” for Stone Soup Storytellers, Magic of One, and other storytelling ventures. At our most recent meeting, it became clear that Magic of One has to take a years rest from organized concerts because we are spread too thin right now. Our efforts must go into organizing the Guild, and we hope to have everything in order within this 2009/10 season. Its our hope that the Storytelling Guild will eventually take responsibility for a renewed Magic of One Concert series down the road. So, for this season we will be offering one excellent Magic of One Concert in February 2010 — Kira Van Deusen from Vancouver. We hope to have an official Guild opening by this time. If you want to add your name as a person interested in hearing more about the Guild and its activities, please do write to Kay Stone, who is keeping the list of names: kayfstone@gmail.com
